Morning Light by Jessica Kale

This is the first time I am posting my work on this blog. I only recently became a member about a month ago and am very happy so far. I am currently working various commissions which are either in scratchboard or pastel. I decided to take a break and do something different. The photo reference was a dog named Cooper. I've always been trying to experiment with the absence of light and shadows along with depth. I am very pleased with how this came out. It's scratchboard with a watercolor wash.

After I finish commissions I plan to try a series in this technique. Maybe even get some prints made and sell them to those interested. Any critiques or comments would be great. If you are interested in a commission or are just looking curious check out my website.
