"Golden Beach" a new watercolor by Molly Poole

This watercolor painting is inspired by our recent trip to Captiva, FL. I love seeing families that can enjoy vacationing with their best friends. This beautiful senior Golden Retriever and her family set up beach-side near us each day when the sun was shining. She hung out enjoying the sea breezes, naps under the umbrella and took an occasional dip in the water. She was the typical Golden that was content to be right with her family at all times. As we sat in our beach chairs, we tried to imagine what our Lab and our Cairn would do if we brought them to the family beach...sand would fly, coolers knocked over and we wouldn't be able to get our dogs to stay with us. They would want to meet everyone!

Today in New Hampshire we have sun and warm temperatures that have me longing for Summer... A perfect day to paint a beachside scene.
