Fudge Ripple!

I am a relatively new Canine Art Guild member and this is my first post to Art with a Bark.
This 12"x12" watercolor is one of many of my recent paintings depicting Labrador Retrievers and water and it is one of two of my watercolors to be accepted into this year's Art Show at the Dog Show.
A friend from a Labrador Retriever forum I participate in generously gave me permission to use her photo of her chocolate lab having fun swimming in the lake for reference for this painting. I was immediately drawn to the photo because the swirling water and colors presented a challenge for me.
When working with watercolors and depicting water, I am always pushing myself to let go and be as free and spontaneous as possible. Control without control. I am very pleased with the results. Enjoy.
Thank you for taking a look. You can see more of my work by visiting my website at www.granitedog.com
